Four Levels of Outreach Competency

What Four things do Visitors Need to Consider Joining a Church?

Joining Christ in His Harvest Two part Sermon

THE MAIN THING IS, TO MAKE THE MAIN THING, THE MAIN THING!  As Christs church, is there  one  main thing, or a combination of things that together are the  MAIN THING  that we are to focus on?  This combination is listed in Matt. 28:18-20

MATT. 28: 18 Then Jesus came to them and said,  All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 And teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you and surely I am with you always to the very end of the age.

I Cor. 2:1-2 1 And so it was with me, brothers and sisters. When I came to you, I did not come with eloquence or human wisdom as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God. 2 For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.

I Pet. 3:15  But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect,

Philemon 6 I pray that you may be active in sharing your faith, so that you will have a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ.

Pray-Care-Share

Four Levels of outreach training we can learn. Reach your generation for Christ intentionally.

I Cor. 9:22 22 To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some. (became)?

Make a list of Bible verses you would share to explain  How to be Born Again

Start Sharing Christ without fear questions:

1) DID YOU HAVE ANY RELIGIOUS BELIEFS OR CHURCH INVOLVEMENT WHEN YOU WERE YOUNGER?

2) NOW THAT YOU ARE OLDER WHAT KIND OF SPIRITUAL BELIEFS DO YOU HAVE NOW?

3) WHO IS JESUS TO YOU?

4) DO YOU THINK THERE IS A HEAVEN AND A HELL?

5) IF YOU DIED RIGHT NOW, WHERE WOULD YOU GO? WHY?

6) IF THE LORD WANTED TO SHOW YOU MORE ABOUT HIMSELF AND HE KNEW THAT PART OF WHAT

YOU BELIEVE ABOUT HIM WERE NOT TRUE, WOULD YOU WANT HIM TO REVEAL IT TO YOU OR JUST LEAVE YOU ALONE?

7) I HAVE FOUND SOME BIBLE VERSES THAT REALLY HELPED ME UNDERSTAND GOD BETTER. WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE WHAT THOSE VERSES SAY?

Jesus says to you in Matthew 11:28-29 28  Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

God invites you to come to Him. This is His invitation to you.  He promises you that if you will come to Him, He will give you rest for your burdened soul.  His promise is yours.  But to get His promise you must learn from Him for His rest to become yours daily.

If you come to Him, what must you learn first??  John 3:3 Jesus replied,  Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God, (Heaven), unless they are born again. John 3:7  7You should not be surprised at my saying,  You must be born again.

Are you born again? Do you know how to be born again? How can that happen to you?

John 3:16-18  16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of Gods one and only Son.

What is it about Jesus that must be believed that will cause us to be born again?

John 3:14 14 Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, 15 that everyone who believes may have eternal life in Him.

When Jesus was lifted up and died on the cross He paid the full punishment for all your sins.

When you believe that Jesus shed His blood and died for you, for YOU, He becomes your Savior and you are now BORN AGAIN!

Before you were born again Ephesians 2: 1-2  As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient.

Now that you are born again Ephesians 2: 4-6 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressionsit is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, (Born Again)

The Four Spiritual Laws

The first spiritual law is that  God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life.   John 3:16 teaches,  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.   John 10:10 (NIV) gives us the reason that Jesus came:  I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.  The Four Spiritual Laws asks,  What is blocking us from God's love? What is preventing us from having an abundant life?

The second spiritual law answers this question:  Humanity is tainted by sin and is therefore separated from God. As a result, we cannot know God's wonderful plan for our lives.  Romans 3:23 states,  for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.  Romans 6:23 adds,  the wages of sin is death." According to the Four Spiritual Laws, God created us to have fellowship with Him. However, humanity brought sin into the world, and is therefore separated from God. What is the solution?

The third spiritual law answers by stating, "Jesus Christ is God's only provision for our sin. Through Jesus Christ, we can have our sins forgiven and restore a right relationship with God." Romans 5:8 shares, "but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." First Corinthians 15:3-4 says, "For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures." Jesus taught that He is the only way of salvation

The fourth spiritual law answers how you can receive this gift: "We must place our faith in Jesus Christ as Savior in order to receive the gift of salvation and know God's wonderful plan for our lives." In John 1:12 we read, "But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God." Acts 16:31 teaches, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved." Salvation comes through grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone (Ephesians 2:8-9).
Are you willing to place your faith in Jesus Christ as your Savior and receive this free gift of eternal life? If so, do it now, tell Jesus what is in your heart. There is no special prayer you must pray to do so. Words will not save you what is in your heart? Only belief in Jesus work on the cross can save you.

  Prepare Your Personal Testimonies : 30 second / 2 minutes / 10 minutes

My Salvation Testimony

1. My life before receiving Christ

2. How I received Jesus Christ

3. How Jesus Christ makes my life meaningful and knowing for sure Ill go to Heaven when I die.

My Recovery Testimony

1. My life seemed fairly normal until . . .

2. I discovered hope and help in Jesus when..

3. I am glad I have a personal relationship with Jesus today because . . .

Once you have shared your testimony, you can ask,  May I share with you how something like this can happen to you?

Give adequate and precise details showing how Christ became your Savior. Tell about yourself. Humor and human interest are keys.   Be sure that in your testimony you clearly show the person how to receive the gift of salvation.  Use language that the non-Christian can understand (1 Cor. 14:9). Avoid churchy, religious, theological terms. You understand them, but the other person may not. Such terms as  walked the aisle,   took the preachers hand,   justified,   convicted,  and  redeemed  may be meaningless or even misleading.
